Version 5.0 — the biggest Android release so far. Eight themes (Ember, Sakura and Noir join Dark Cosmic, Midnight Blue, Aurora, Graphite and Solar Light), a switchable app icon — five icons live in Profile and the launcher changes in a few seconds — and a player rebuilt around the picture: a chapter-aware scrubber with intro and outro marks, a large focal play button and frosted skip and volume controls in one row. Everything from 4.3 is still here: in-app updates with a SHA-256 check, offline episodes, two home-screen widgets, subtitle size, background and position, default speed, sharing and the “Are you still watching?” guard. Android 7.0 or newer.

CortexAnime also has a separate native SwiftUI iOS app with its own player and WidgetKit extension. The button below gives you 1.5.1 (build 151), which installs with a shared certificate — then follow the signing steps, because iOS only installs a signed app; the download alone is not enough. Safari Home Screen installation stays available to everyone. 1.5.1 rebuilds offline downloads: one card per series with its episodes as chips — tap a saved chip to play it, tap a running one to pause it, hold it for retry, subtitles or removal — plus a storage card with the real bytes on the device, a live transfer card with the batch progress and the next episode, filters that count, and a free-up-space screen that lists finished episodes, broken downloads and imported videos with the bytes each would give back. 1.5.0 added Cortex Lab, nine rooms and 150 working features — Time Machine, Smart Queue, Taste Engine, Collections+, Session Planner, Reading Comfort, Storage & Data, Service Health and Shortcuts.
Unsigned IPA, straight from CortexAnime, 1.5.1 (build 151), 10 254 509 bytes. This build updates itself: the app checks cortanime.eu, downloads the new IPA inside the app, verifies its SHA-256 and hands it to the signer (Share, then ESign or SideStore). Add the source https://cortanime.eu/api/app/source.json to SideStore or AltStore and the update appears there as a normal Update button. iOS still installs only signed builds, so the last tap stays in the signer.
Not sure which build is installed? Open the app, go to Profile and read the last row: it shows the version and build, for example 1.5.1 (151). If it shows an older number, the install picked up an older IPA — delete the app, download again from this page and re-sign the new file.
